Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how DocuBench LLC ("DocuBench," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the DocuBench software, websites, accounts, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies when you use DocuBench software, websites, accounts, subscriptions, and related services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account, Subscription, and Support Information
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information, such as email address, username, authentication records, and account status;
- Subscription and billing information, such as plan, renewal status, payment events, and billing contact details;
- Support communications and information you choose to provide when you contact us.
Payment card details are processed by our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers.
2.2 Limited Technical and Service-Operation Information
When you use the Service, we may collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service, such as:
- Device and application information, including operating system and app version;
- Authentication, subscription, license, and entitlement events;
- Basic service logs, such as timestamps and request metadata for account, subscription, and entitlement operations;
- IP address and general location information derived from IP address, such as country or region.
We do not collect precise geolocation data.
2.3 Browser Workbench Content
DocuBench is designed so browser workbench content stays outside DocuBench cloud services.
DocuBench does not collect or route browser page content, screenshots, tool results, site instructions, or local audit records through DocuBench cloud services. Browser content and tool results are sent from the desktop app to the MCP client used by your connected AI agent. Your AI agent environment, MCP client, model provider, and third-party websites may handle that information according to their own policies and configurations.
If you enable local audit persistence, records are saved in your configured local work folder. Those local records are not uploaded to DocuBench cloud services by DocuBench.
3. How We Use Information
We use information collected through the Service to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service;
- Create and manage accounts;
- Process transactions, trials, subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations;
- Verify plan entitlements and enable paid features;
- Improve reliability, security, and performance;
- Respond to support requests;
- Communicate with you regarding updates, security notices, billing, and support.
4. AI Agent and Third-Party Processing
DocuBench provides a local browser workbench and MCP tool surface for AI agents. You choose which MCP client, AI agent environment, model provider, websites, accounts, and data sources to use.
When browser content or tool results are sent to your connected AI agent environment, DocuBench does not control how that environment stores, forwards, processes, or retains the information. Review the policies and settings of your MCP client, AI agent, model provider, and any third-party websites you use.
DocuBench does not review browser workbench content for accuracy, legality, or compliance with third-party terms.
5. Data Retention
DocuBench retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, including:
- Maintaining user accounts;
- Managing trials, subscriptions, billing, and entitlements;
- Complying with legal obligations;
- Resolving disputes and enforcing agreements;
- Maintaining security and service records.
Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, user settings, legal requirements, and operational needs. Information may be deleted, anonymized, or aggregated when no longer needed.
DocuBench does not guarantee indefinite retention of any information.
6. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With service providers that support operation of the Service, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, support, and payment processing providers;
- To comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or governmental requests;
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of DocuBench, users, or others;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
7. Security
DocuBench implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Data Transfers
Information collected through the Service may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that information may be transferred to jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.
